今回の旅の後半は世界遺産にも指定されている古都カラコルム、そしてシャーマンに会うこととなりました。
本来はモンゴル西端の地、バヤンウルギーを目指したかったのですが、腹痛で病院送りとなったこともあってスケジュールを短縮しなくれたならず、三日間のロードトリップでウランバートルからハラコルンへ、オギ湖へと足を伸ばしました。
Last part of the journey was accidentally shorten because of trouble on my stomach. It a few days to see the condition, seeing doctor etc.
But still the journey was amazing experience.

モンゴル帝国の首都カラコルム、そしてモンゴル最古のチベット仏教寺院「エルデニゾー」。
エルデニゾー寺院はモンゴル最古の仏教寺院。中には今での修行僧が通う寺院もあり、周囲は420mの壁で囲われ、述べ108の仏教塔で作られています。

This has been center of Mongolia in the 13th Century. The habitants are Muslim, Christianity, Nomadic people and buddhist. It was culturally center of the world.
Erdene Zuu Monastery is built 16th century as first buddhist monestry, it has 420m square wall has 108 towers.

今回の滞在最終日にはシャーマンのオフ会に参加
コーディネータがfacebook上で、首都から少し行った山間のところに、シャーマンの集まりがあるという情報をキャッチし、そのうちの1人とコンタクトを取り僕も参加できることになった。
I had chance to join to ceremony of Shaman group meet up in the mountain on the last day of stay in Mongolia. Luckily I even can take photo of them as well.
びっくりすることに、今回、ほとんどのシャーマンが初対面で、述べ15人くらいのモンゴル中のシャーマンが集まり、秋を向かい入れる儀式をするのだそうです。

途中でお供え用の油と薪を買い、彼らが集まる山へと向かった。
We bought oil and woods offering on the way to the mountain.
みんなで大きな焚き火の準備、飾り付けをしたあとは、それぞれがセッションを始めます。

太鼓とアルコールでトランス状態になり、日本のイタコの様に先祖の霊を憑依させて悩みは相談に乗ってくれます。僕も二度、身体のことについて相談しました。
そしてなんとも面白いのが、動物の毛皮や羽をあしらった独特のコスチューム。太鼓の形も丸だけでなく、三角形もあり、なんともマジカルでした。
彼らは世襲制ではなく、ある時お告げを受けて、シャーマンになるそうです。プロで食べてる人もいれば、副業でやったり、商売にしない人もいるくらいその人次第な様です。
でも実際に何年も雨が降らない土地に雨を降らしたりすることにも成功したそうです。

日没とともにお祈りが始まり、すでに夜も10時頃になると焚き火の炎もかなりでかくなり、火の粉を浴びながら、シャーマンたちが鳴らす太鼓とお祈りの声は本当に凄まじい雰囲気に包まれていました。
Until sunset they were having spiritual session individually, then they started big camp fire in the dark.
